Having barely come off the Women Grow Business Boot Camp high (ok, I’m still on it), I’ve seen first-hand, over and over again how my community can help me.
So now, as a new member of the #Mac community, I’m turning to my stylish ladies (and gents) to help me select a great handbag that can also hold my beautiful, shiny, new MacBook Pro 15″.
If there’s anything that makes us women entrepreneurs feel strong and successful, it’s great shoes and a great bag.
Which of these would you – my sisterhood of success – pick for me? Here’s why I picked these five contenders, all available on eBags.com, thanks to a recommendation from Martha Muzychka.
Now, they all seem very sturdy, with lots of room for the other “stuff” we have to carry around, and they’re reasonably priced, so we’re really going on personality here:
1. The McKlein USA W Series Willow Springs Leather Ladies’ Briefcase:
I love the colors this is available in, though the Aqua is my favorite. I’m usually a “warm colors” person, but there’s something about this one that gets my hidden beach girl out.
2. The Siamod Monterosso Collection Serra Ladies Laptop Tote:
Again, I love the color and I think the horizontal buckle is very cool. And the color is HAWT.
3. The Ice Red Shine Glossy Laptop Tote:
If you’ve met me IRL, you’ll know I have a predilection for pink. How cute is this bag?! Somewhat sassy, wouldn’t you say?
4. The Clark & Mayfield Rosemont XL:
Admittedly, this isn’t as bright as the others. But it’s got a real touch of class, as far as I can tell through an LCD screen.
5. The Kailo Chic Women’s Pleated Laptop Tote:
Did Black & White ever look so good?
So: there you have it. The five laptop handbags I’ve narrowed down my search to after several hours online (!). Will you help me out by voting for your fave?

Those are all really cute. Maybe you need two so you can choose the correct bag based on your mood that day. Really helping aren’t I!
Seriously though, also look at the weight of the bag. Remember you’re putting the weight of the laptop and all your contents on your shoulder. I’ve started getting bags that are almost weightless so I don’t deal with that added weight. My current bag is classy but boring — a black Tumi.
The pink one is cute, but it’s not very purse-y. In my experience with my laptop bags/purses, having two long-ish handles is a must for comfort and to keep the bag looking like a purse. I voted for the red; it’s a fairly utilitarian color. The other option is to find one that you can buy two of — one in black, and one in brown — so you’ll have a laptop bag to go with every outfit. That’s what I did. :)

I just about always have on something either black or white so I like that one – plus you can’t beat the price! Having said that, I could totally see you with the bright pink bag ;-)
I prefer number 4 – but I actually like it in red better. Stylish, classic, and the red is a dash of sass.

Hmmm. Depends where you are going. Love #2- offers a touch of class. To me it says “successful, smart & stylish’… and it can transcend seasons. My choice for sure. But depending on where you are heading it might be a bit to conservative.
#1 might be a nice compromise. I also love the color & style and hey.. come August you’ll have a great excuse to get a fall bag. And you can never have too many bags (or shoes!)
Go for the aqua. Style in spades, and you don’t end up in the Ghetto of Pink…
I vote for 2 or 3 or better yet get both so you can switch out with the seasons…
4 is my favorite, followed closely by 1. I chose 4 over 1 because you’d be going into biz meetings – and people might want to go to the beach instead of listening to you. :)
